It’s absolutely free to create a campaign. Once funds are raised, we collect a standard fee of 3.5% from registered charities and 4.5% from individuals on all funds raised. In addition, Stripe will deduct a 1.4% (within the EU) processing fee on all successful online donations. Donors have the option during checkout to cover the fees. If you don't raise any funds, then we don't collect any either.
We send funds via Stripe because it’s quick, easy and very safe. It can take at least 7 business days to deliver in the UK.
- Before we send over any funds, we need a secure and verified bank account to do this to safeguard against fraud.
- If a campaign is related to supporting an individual or family through emergency assistance funds, we advise that the campaign creator to partner up with a registered charity where we can deposit the funds.
- We generally ask that any relief campaigns based abroad are done in collaboration with a UK based registered charity. If you have questions about whether or not your charity qualifies get in touch on [email protected]
It takes the Give Brite team between 24 - 48 hours to begin the review process by assigning a Project Coach. From there, campaign creators are asked to set up an appointment to discuss best practices for crowdfunding. Depending on the amount of projects being submitted, the time it takes to review a project can vary. Any further support please contact our team on [email protected]
Our team decide on a weekly basis the projects they want to highlight and promote on the home page. This is based on a number of factors such as the campaign story, the quality of the campaign pitch and how much it has engaged donors since launching.
That’s cool. With Give Brite you get to keep all the donations that you receive.
Since everyone’s situation is different, we’re unable to provide any advice on tax.
Gift Aid is an income tax relief designed to benefit charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC). If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25% because the charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift at no extra cost to you.
